Description

We are currently seeking a Full-Time Assistant Manager to join the team at our Mallow N20 Plaza.

This plaza is part of the Plaza Group which also operates - The Barack Obama Plaza, Moneygall, The Galway Plaza, Kiltullagh, Tipperary Town Plaza, The Kinnegad Plaza, The Portlaoise Plaza and our Service Stations in Charlestown, Ballyhea, and Westport.

The service station facilities in the Mallow N20 Plaza includes a Costcutter Convenience store, Circle K Carr and HGV fuelling pumps, Supermac’s Restaurant, Papa John’s Pizza, SuperSubs Salad and Sub Sandwich offering, Macs Place Deli & Bakery, Off Licence, together with indoor and outdoor seating, toilets and washroom facilities, free wifi, car, bus and HGV parking.

Some of your key responsibilities include:

  • Work closely with your Store Manager to deliver amazing service every day
  • Supervise the activities of team members on a daily basis and ensure necessary tasks are completed to meet our high standards
  • Always be 100% focused on the customer and your team around you
  • Being hands on and lead from the front, committed to developing your team
  • Training the team on all aspects of the Supermac’s operation
  • Co-ordinate in-store sales and promotions
  • To assist the store manager with Employee Relations

The successful candidate will assist in the smooth running of the Supermac's restaurant, providing leadership to their team, dealing with the day to day operations, people management, food quality, scheduling, budgeting, and all aspects associated with successfully managing a restaurant.

Applicants will have previous experience at supervisory level in the catering/hospitality sector, be able to work on a full-time basis with flexibility to work 5 shifts across 7 days.

Your Profile:

  • A minimum of 2-3 years supervisory experience in the Catering/Hospitality/Quick Service Food industry is required
  • Commercial Awareness / Business Acumen - Stock Control/Turnover/Cost Control/Marketing/HR
  • Demonstrate excellent people management skills - ability to Train/Develop/Motivate
  • Demonstrate excellent organisational, communication and planning skills
  • Be passionate about Customer Service
  • Be able to conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times especially when in the public eye
  • You must be 100% customer focused, innovative, motivating and energetic for this hands on role
  • Knowledge of Food safety is required (HACCP)
  • You must be flexible to work a mixture of days, evenings and weekends
