Bakery Assistant – N20 Mallow Plaza

Our Costcutter Forecourt in Mallow, Co Cork, currently have an opportunity for a full time Bakery Assistant for their busy Delicatessen and Bakery.

We are looking for an enthusiastic person who can work on their own initiative who also has a flair/passion for cooking/baking. Experience would be an advantage but full training will be provided.

The successful applicant must be a people person who will be able to work under pressure as part of a small but cohesive unit.  You will work 5 days over 7 with a 5-6am start time.

The Job:

Some responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Assist the Deli/Bakery Manager in the smooth running of the Delicatessan
• Ensures the deli/bakery area provides a variety of fresh, well presented foods at all times of the day whilst operational
• Ensure delicatessen standards are consistently improving in terms of housekeeping, merchandising, presentation and customer service
• Ensure HACCP standards are followed
• Ensure overall customer service levels within the area are maintained at the required standard, and upselling of add on items where possible.
• Assist the Manager in ensuring stock is rotated accordingly and out of date stock is discarded appropriately
• Ensure wastages in the delicatessen area are maintained at a minimum level through effect management of the stock
• Minimum of one years experience require.
