Deli Assistant ¦ The Barack Obama Plaza

We would like to invite applications for Full-time and Part-time Deli Assistants to join the team of Macs Place Deli in Barack Obama Plaza Moneygall, Offaly.

Full-time and part-time positions are available

Candidates must be available to work on weekdays and weekends. (This is not a part-time position)

The Plaza Group, which is part of the Supermac's group, operates several key locations, on busy road networks and motorways. The new Plaza will be one of these locations, which incorporate Supermac's, Papa Johns, Supersubs, Macs Place Deli, and Retail Convenience Shop, together with customer seating, and all the usual motorway facilities for leisure, business, and truck commuters, with ample parking and services.

JOB TITLE: Deli Assistant - Macs Place Deli

As a Deli Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting the Deli Manager in preparing and making good food in the deli. The role consists of front-of-house service and cooking. General knowledge of deli operations is preferred but not essential. Possessing similar experience would be an advantage along with experience in a fast-paced busy working environment. Experience in HACCP and Food Hygiene is desirable.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Work as part of the team to ensure fresh quality food at all times in the deli area.
• Prepare and cook food to a high standard.
• Follow appropriate HACCP guidelines
• Follow in-house processes and procedures as directed.
• Provide excellent service to customers
• Ensure your work area is clean and tidy at all times
• Work as part of a team to ensure a professional and well-presented deli at all times.

The ideal candidate will possess many of the below attributes:

• Proven ability in cooking and preparing great food
• Good organisational skills
• Strong communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal relations.
• Excellent understanding of consumer needs.
