Deli Assistant Manager – Barack Obama Plaza

Supermac's currently require a Deli Assistant Manager  for The Barack Obama Plaza, part of the Plaza Group in Moneygall.

The Plaza Group, which is part of the Supermac's group, operate a number of key locations, on busy road networks and motorways. The Barrack Obama Plaza is a location which incorporates Supermac's, Papa Johns, Supersubs, Macs Place Deli, Retail Convenience Shop, together with customer seating, and all the usual motorway facilities for leisure, business and truck commuters, with ample parking and services. The variety of choice on the menu means there is something tasty and tempting at Supermac’s for everybody.

OBJECTIVE:

To assist the Deli Manager with the day-to-day operation of the Mac's Place Deli and Supersubs Area with all its fresh food offering on site.

THE JOB:

• Ensures the food unit provides a variety of fresh, well presented and of the highest quality foods at all times of the day whilst operational.
• Ensure standards are consistently improving in terms of sourcing new products, housekeeping, merchandising, presentation and customer service.
• Plan for market changes and demands as they arise – seasonality and local activity.
• Ensure Deli promotions are managed appropriately with adequate costing analysis.
• Ensure customer complaints are dealt with in the appropriate manner.
• Ensure HACCP standards are implemented, and record sheets are maintained according to requirements.
• Ensure overall customer service levels within the area are maintained at the required standard, and up selling of add on items where possible.
• Assist the Deli Manager with operation of the Deli unit to meet preset food cost targets through staff training, portion control, waste control etc.
• Assist in managing and planning the internal cleaning programme to consistently meet QSC requirements.
• Assist with food ordering from approved suppliers to meet Deli area requirements.
• Promote sales within the Deli Area & achieve sales targets as established by the Store Manager.
• Maintain training records and ensure refresher training is provided to personnel in the area as appropriate
• Ensure the SuperSubs team comply with requirements of the area in terms of hygiene etc.
• Ensure effective & compliant HACCP control systems are in place
• Assist the Deli Manager with stock control, dating and stock rotation.
• Assist in ensuring effective stock control systems are in place and ensuring stock is rotated accordingly and out of date stock is discarded appropriately
• Ensure wastages in the Deli area are maintained at a minimum level through effect management of the stock
• To undertake other additional duties as may be assigned by the Deli Manager and Store Manager.
