Deli Assistant – N17 Tuam Plaza

We are currently looking to recruit Full-Time Deli Assistants for Macs Place Deli.

The N17 Tuam Plaza is part of the Plaza Group - The Barack Obama Plaza, The Galway Plaza, The Tipperary Town Plaza, The Kinnegad Plaza The N20 Mallow Plaza, and The Portlaoise Plaza and our Service Stations in Charlestown, Ballyhea, and Westport.

The full-time role consists of 5 shifts per week across 7 days. The shifts will consist of a mixture of morning and afternoon shifts. No night time shifts apply however the morning shift commences at 5am / 6am.

JOB TITLE: Deli Assistant - Macs Place Deli - N17 Tuam Plaza Galway

As a Deli Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting the Deli Manager in preparing and making good food in the deli. The role consists of front of house service and cooking. General knowledge of deli operations is preferred but not essential. Possessing similar experience would be an advantage along with experience in a fast-paced busy working environment. Experience of HACCP and Food Hygiene is desirable.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Work as part of the team to ensure fresh quality food at all times in the deli area.
• Prepare and cook food to a high standard.
• Follow appropriate HACCP guidelines
• Follow in house processes and procedures as directed.
• Provide excellent service to customers
• Ensure your work area is clean and tidy at all times
• Work as part of a team to ensure a professional and well-presented deli at all times.

The ideal candidate will possess many of the below attributes:

• Proven ability in cooking and preparing great food
• Good organisational skills
• Strong communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal relations.
• Excellent understanding of consumer needs.

The successful candidate must be flexible and available on a full-time basis. Availability to work midweek and weekends is required.
