We are currently seeking a Full-Time Deli Chef / Manager to join the team at our Mallow N20 Plaza.

This plaza is part of the Plaza Group which also operates - The Barack Obama Plaza, Moneygall, The Galway Plaza, Kiltullagh, Tipperary Town Plaza, The Kinnegad Plaza, The Portlaoise Plaza and our Service Stations in Charlestown, Ballyhea, and Westport.

The service station facilities in the Mallow N20 Plaza includes a Costcutter Convenience store, Circle K Carr and HGV fuelling pumps, Supermac’s Restaurant, Papa John’s Pizza, SuperSubs Salad and Sub Sandwich offering, Macs Place Deli & Bakery, Off Licence, together with indoor and outdoor seating, toilets and washroom facilities, free wifi, car, bus and HGV parking.

The Job: To assist with the cooking and preparation of hot and cold foods in our busy Deli section at our Mallow N20 Plaza.

The Deli Chef / Manager will be responsible for the effective management of the Carvery & Deli area, including preparation and cooking of top-quality food, including hot dinners, using great products, whilst maintaining a keen margin.

The Chef/Manager will deal with the day to day operations, food quality, sourcing and ordering, scheduling, budgeting, and all aspects associated with successfully managing a great food operation. Responsible include managing the Deli team and promoting a good work ethic.

Applicants will ideally be an experienced chef/manager, have a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience at management level in the catering/hospitality sector, be able to work on a full-time basis and demonstrate the following:

This position will suit an individual who is highly motivated, hardworking with excellent communication and culinary skills. The successful candidate will have previous experience cooking breakfasts and dinners.
