Description
The service station facilities in the Portlaoise Plaza includes a Convenience store, Several Car and HGV fueling pumps, Supermac’s Restaurant, Papa John’s Pizza, SuperSubs Salad and Sub Sandwich offering, Macs Place Deli, and a branded Barista Café, together with indoor and outdoor seating, toilets and washroom facilities, free WIFI, car, bus and HGV parking.
We are currently seeking a Grill Person to join the team of the Portlaoise Plaza.
Job Purpose:
The role of grill person involves taking charge of the grill area, where all burgers are cooked, and buns are toasted and dressed in keeping with our standards. Breakfasts and other items are also cooked by the Grill Person.
The Grill Person will provide ongoing support to the Management Team to ensure Supermac’s customers receive the best quality, service and cleanliness each time they visit a Supermac’s restaurant.
Duties and Responsibilities include:

Comply with food safety and hygiene regulations,

Monitor waste levels and ensure waste is disposed of correctly,

Ensure cleanliness of the grill station and work area, ensure all food and equipment are stored correctly,

Comply with company regulations, training and coaching of staff,
-
Working as part of a team.
The successful candidates will be hard working, work well under pressure, and enjoy working as part of a team. Candidates must also have fluent English and previous cooking experienced is preferable. Full training is provided. Flexibility to work midweek and weekends desirable.
