Due to current expansion plans, the Supermac's Group have an opportunity for a IT Manager to join the Head Office team.

Reporting to the CFO the IT Manager  has overall responsibility for maintaining and supporting the company’s IT infrastructure and all related aspects of the business.


  • Manage and develop the IT infrastructure across the company
  • Manage and coordinate all IT functions including system Integrations, data, telephony, security, hardware and software.
  • Ensure the continuous operation of all the companies critical networks, hardware and software and provide IT support to stores nationwide.
  • Identify problem areas and implement strategic solutions.
  • Ensure maximum uptime of all company systems.
  • Project manage new store installations.
  • Contingency planning for equipment failure and Disaster Recovery.
  • Budget controls and ensuring cost effectiveness
  • Ensures security of data, network and backups
  • Management of IT Service Desk to ensure store operational efficiency.
  • Maintain vendor relationships.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with GDPR, PCI DSS
  • Data analysis, report writing skills.
  • Manage , mentor and develop the IT team.



  • Excellent leadership, management and communication skills
  • Be able to demonstrate interpersonal, planning, documentation, organization and problem solving skills.
  • Have the ability to act independently with internal and external personnel/services to ensure reliable system operation.
  • Self-starter with ability to work with minimal supervision and to tight deadlines
  • Effective multi-tasker with the ability to focus on key priorities
  • Attention to detail and see tasks through to completion
  • Self assured with ability to create positive working relationships
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing requirements of the role
  • Full drivers licence

Technical Skills:

  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a hands on managerial position including day to day IT operational management.
  • Relevant third level IT qualification.
  • SQL, Crystal Reports experience essential.
  • Experience administering Vmware vSphere and some hands-on experience with Storage Area Networks.
  • Experience administering Windows Server OS and Active Directory
  • Microsoft Dynamics Nav experience desirable.
  • Some or all of the following are desirable Office 365, VOIP, WAN, LAN, DNS, Group Policy and Telecoms.
