Supermac's Head Office have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and passionate Senior IT Support Analyst to join the IT Department at our Galway based Head Office. Please note this is an in person office based role with some travel required to our company locations.
The Senior IT Support Analyst will provide ongoing support to the stores and sites in the Supermacs Group. Working within deadlines is key to the role along with continuous project work as assigned by the Head of IT. The position involves travel and emergency response to breakdowns, including out of office hours and weekends.
Reporting directly into the Head of IT, you will play a key role in supporting the team in the smooth running of a fast paced IT department.
Key responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Maintenance and support of company IT infrastructure
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical problems relating to hardware and software applications
- Logging and management of tickets and assets using ITIL aligned Service Desk
- Ensure that all tickets are actioned in a timely manner.
- Develop Service Desk in line with industry best practices.
- Familiarity with SQL/ MS SQL server and databases and associated reporting tools to ensure that the business has up-to-date information as required.
- Requirement to have experience with some or all of the following, Windows7/10/11, Windows server 2008/12/16/19, Active Directory, Vmware ESXi, Veeam and Office 365 suite.
- Experience working with Point of Sale systems and their operation.
- Excellent working knowledge of TCP/IP networking, including switches, routers, access points and firewalls
- Must be able to quickly learn new company-specific software in order to be able to support users
- Must be able to work well and communicate effectively with users of a broad range of computer competency levels
- Out of hours support required on a scheduled/rotational basis
- Must be willing and enthusiastic and should have an enduring personal interest in technology and computing
Key Skills & Experience:
- 3 + years experience preferred
- Relevant third level IT qualification
- Any of the following CompTIA A+, CompTIA N+, MCSA preferable but not necessary
- Full EU Driver's license
- Excellent communication skills
- Be able to demonstrate interpersonal, planning, documentation, organisation and problem solving skills.
- Previous experience managing an IT support delivery desk
