Description
The Barack Obama Plaza is the only major purpose-built motorway service facility on the new M7 route between Dublin and Limerick, and is a key stop over point for motorists travelling through the midlands. High standard facilities within The Barack Obama Plaza includes a restaurant, convenience shop and fuel facilities and in addition provides broadband connectivity free to visitors.
As an additional element recognising the historic significance of Moneygall as the birthplace of the ancestors of the President of the United States, the Plaza provides a Community Facility for the use of the people of Moneygall. The Barack Obama Community Facility houses on going displays of both historic and current material marking the relationship between Moneygall and the United States.
We are seeking a Site Operations Manager for the Barack Obama Plaza, to oversee all site operations across the catering/retail/fuel brands.

Job Title: Site Operations Manager
Your Job: We are looking for an experienced Senior Manager - Ideally with Catering & Retail Experience at a senior level, who is highly motivated and results orientated to join our team. Leading the site and managing a team of approx. 100 employees, you will be expected to deliver site targets for all areas in terms of sales & profitability through the effective management of all store operations and personnel, merchandising, local store marketing, and cost management, as well as creating opportunities to drive the business forward through collaboration with various other groups and operators who would have a need for services/facilities such as ours for their guests.
Your main Responsibilities will include:

Leading, inspiring and motivating the site’s teams to deliver excellence in customer service and always seeking to improve best practice, whilst constantly driving performance through strong people management and leading by example in terms of work ethic, commitment and business savvy

Managing the overall performance of the operation to include Fuel, Food (Hot & Cold – all brands), Retail (Convenience Shop), together with ancillary offerings on site provided to the customer.

Setting clear expectations in service, standards, operations and visuals

Managing Profit & Loss, Budgets, sales forecasting and KPI's

Assisting with recruitment, rostering training and development of high-quality personnel for all departments within the site.

Driving outstanding customer service across the site

Inspiring and driving change and delivering innovation
Candidate Profile:
-
Must have prior extensive management experience, ideally both in catering and retail, leading a large team.

Strong business background, commercially aware, strategic thinker who is a quick decision maker and able to seize an opportunity

Strong leadership figure with proven skills in training and motivating teams, with a work ethic and business logic.

Inspires a positive culture across all brands

A passion for Food Industry and driven to stay ahead of the competition
