Pat McDonagh purchases Loughrea Hotel & Spa

Pat McDonagh, Managing Director of Supermac’s,  has purchased the Loughrea Hotel & Spa today, saving 70 jobs in the process. Speaking about the business deal Pat McDonagh says “we are delighted to be safeguarding jobs locally which may otherwise have been lost. We are also most pleased that people who have events booked in the hotel can look forward to them in confidence and can be assured of receiving the finest quality hospitality and service.

The Loughrea Hotel & Spa is a Gateway facility to the West of Ireland and of great importance to development of tourism in the West. The hotel will receive significant investment for its refurbishment and upgrading which will enhance many of its current facilities and offer increased levels of comfort to visitors and locals alike.

It’s a pleasure to provide hotel facilities to Loughrea and its surrounding areas, as a hotel plays a vital role as an income provider in an area through its levels of employment, with visitors bringing business to the area through secondary spending and the hosting of social events and celebrations.
