Drive in Movies come to Tipperary!

Barack Obama Plaza and Tipperary Town Plaza will host fundraising Drive in Movies for local schools and charities during December.  Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th December sees the Barack Obama Plaza, Moneygall create a truly unique Drive in experience for movie goers.  5.30pm showings on both days are in aid of Moneygall N.S and Dunkerrin N.S.  Late evening showings at 8.30pm on both days are in aid of the Nenagh and Roscrea Lions Clubs.  Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th December will see the Drive in Movie experience set up in Tipperary Town Plaza.  5.30pm showings on both days are in aid of Lisvernane N.S. and Bansha N.S.  Let evening showings at 8.30pm on both days are in aid of Circle of Friends, Tipperary Town.

When movie goers arrive for each showing they will be given a specially licenced broadcast frequency they can tune into their car radio.  Here the audio from the film will stream into the car so they can hear all of the action at the volume that suits them while viewing it at the same time on a giant 60 metre screen.  Security will be present to check each screening’s unique car sticker ahead of entry

Tickets for Drive in Movies are available from the Barack Obama Plaza and Tipperary Town Plaza and cost €20 per car.  Schedules for films to be shown in both plazas over both weekends are:  Saturday 5.30pm – Minions / Saturday 8.30pm – Ted 2 / Sunday 5.30pm –  Inside Out / Sunday 8.30pm – Mission Impossible 5 – Rogue Nation.  Movie goers are advised to arrive 30 – 60 minutes ahead of screenings to ensure they are safely parked ahead of each show.  Please visit www.barackobamaplaza.ie for further details.
