JOB PURPOSE:
The Supervisor provides ongoing support to the Store Manager/Area Manager to ensure that the outlet meets or exceeds the targets established for their individual unit. Ongoing support and development is given from the Store & Area Manager, and various management duties will be delegated as necessary. The Supervisor is fully responsible for the customers; staff, operations and cash on his/her shift, and will be held accountable to ensure company policy is met in each area.
- Your main role which will involve assisting the Store Manager in shift control and operation of the restaurant to maximise sales and profitability whilst maintaining the highest possible standards of Quality Service and Cleanliness.
- Training and development of staff, training coordinators and junior management within the restaurant with the aim of achieving the Company ‘Mission’.
- Co-ordinating activities of co-workers, implementing the policies, and following guidelines in relation to financial reporting and inventory control.
THE JOB:
- Provide quality products to our customers by building a system of quality with team members which ensures each delivered product meets Papa John’s standards and accurately reflects the customer’s order.
- Professionally and promptly respond to all customers concerns or issues.
- Solicit customer feedback, share feedback with team and use feedback to improve restaurant operations and build brand loyalty.
- Communicate, train and promote quality standards to team members by utilising all available tools including Operations Manual and Team Member Handbook.
- Actively recruit customer-focused team members, maintain adequate staffing levels according to projected sales, properly induct and train team members to exceed customer expectations, ensure compliance with uniform and appearance standards, establish and communicate performance expectations and conduct timely and effective performance reviews.
- Document performance issues and take appropriate disciplinary action, up to and including termination. Effectively coach and develop team members to ensure entire team is quality and customer focused; and build an atmosphere of teamwork energy and fun.
- Manage sales goals against budget and prior year by providing prompt and friendly customer service; building average per spend through team member training on products and sales execution. Seek additional sales through traditional and non-traditional methods by executing creative local restaurant marketing and creating a positive presence in the community
- Manage profit goals against budget and prior year; ensure food, labour and other controllable costs stay within budget, and correct deviations from the budget by accurately utilising the system.
- Develop and implement appropriate plans to resolve unfavourable trends and enhance profits.
- Execute administrative and cash management duties.
- Plan and manage adequate inventory levels using the restaurant’s computerised inventory system to meet sales demands and minimise loss.
- Manage company’s assets by ensuring the restaurant is clean, fully equipped and all equipment operates properly; ensure restaurant meets safety and security standards at all times; oversee preventative maintenance and repairs when necessary.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Fast paced, “non-stop” environment. Physically demanding at times due to certain requirements of the business with regards to the level of business, quality of staff, quantity of staff, preparedness for business demands, etc. Certain business volumes necessitate prolonged periods of time without sitting down.
