Supermac’s Annual Charity Fundraiser to Support UNICEF Appeal for Gaza

Supermac’s has announced that this year’s Annual Charity Fundraiser will take place on Saturday, November 29th at the Lough Rea Hotel and Spa, with proceeds going directly to the UNICEF appeal for Gaza.

The annual event has become a much-anticipated fixture on the social and fundraising calendar. Over the years it has raised vital funds for charities including Trócaire, the Simon Communities and the National Breast Cancer Research Institute.

Funds will be raised on the night through the purchase of tables, a charity raffle featuring exclusive prizes, and generous donations from supporters across the country.

Speaking at the launch of this year’s event, Supermac’s MD, Pat McDonagh, said:

“The Supermac’s Annual Charity Fundraiser is about communities coming together to support those who need it most. Over the years, the generosity shown has made a real difference to important causes. This year, our focus is on UNICEF’s appeal for Gaza, where children and families are facing devastating circumstances. We hope that, once again, people will join us on November 15th to make this event a success.”

UNICEF will be represented on the night by Peter Power, Executive Director of UNICEF Ireland, who welcomed Supermac’s support:

“Children and families in Gaza are enduring life-threatening hardship due to the ongoing conflict. UNICEF is working every day to deliver clean water, food, medical care, and shelter to meet their urgent needs. Events like the Supermac’s Annual Charity Fundraiser help us continue reaching the most vulnerable and provide vital support in a very challenging environment. We are deeply grateful to Supermac’s and the Galway community for their generosity, which brings hope and relief to those who need it most.”

UNICEF also has a strong Galway connection through its Ambassador, Joe Canning, the Galway hurling star, who has been an active supporter of UNICEF’s work on behalf of children in need.

The Lough Rea Hotel and Spa will provide the setting for what promises to be a memorable evening of fine dining, live entertainment, and community spirit, all in support of a vital cause.
