Supermac’s Shortlisted for Irish Sponsorship Awards

Supermac’s has been nominated for two prestigious awards at the Irish Sponsorship Awards ceremony that will take place on Wednesday, November 23^rd in Dublin. The nominations are for Best Event Sponsorship for the Fleadh Cheoil and Best Team or Athlete for the company’s ties with the Irish Rugby Player, Sean O’ Brien

“We are delighted to have been shortlisted for 2 major sponsorship awards,” Supermac’s MD Pat McDonagh said. “Supermac’s has been part of hundreds of sponsorship agreements since opening our doors in 1978. We have been involved with community groups, festivals, concerts, athletes, sports teams and artists to name but a few, who have all contributed to the Supermac’s story. Indeed, our 26 year sponsorship of Galway GAA is at the heart of Supermac’s continued success.

“Sponsoring the Fleadh Cheoil in Ennis was an obvious choice for us as we are a 100% Irish brand, working with over 250 Irish suppliers,” Mr McDonagh said. “We have strong ties with sports and music throughout our history, and as a company that was born here in the West, we are delighted to be able to engage with such a huge event as the Fleadh Cheoil.”

Supermac’s is one of Ireland’s largest indigenous quick service restaurant chains. It was founded in 1978 by Pat McDonagh, a Galway native, when he opened the very first outlet on Main Street, Ballinasloe. The franchise currently has over 100 outlets across the Republic and Northern Ireland, including the new Charlestown Service Station on the N17.
